Well, I’ve been lax in my posting. I have been crafting with regularity though… is that okay?
Here, proof:

These are two lanyards that I made tonight. The black and white one is for a new employee at work that I was asked to make, and the other is for me. I broke my last one last year and I’ve been a bad employee at wearing my name tag since then. I actually don’t really like making these, but people at work know that I can and every once in a while I am asked to make one. Oh well… they do look nice.
I’ve been knitting with a group on Wednesday nights. It’s been quite fun – nice people and it inspires me to keep making new things, so that good too. Here’s what I’ve been working on:

This is a cute little coaster that I made with leftover yarn from my Fawkes socks. They are from Girl on the Rocks. Great for using up leftover sock yarn.
Let’s see… I have been meaning to make a pretty, pretty dishcloth from Mason Dixon Knitting for quite some time… and now I have:

For now the colors are very bright… I suspect that, with use and washing, they will fade terribly… ah well.
I’m in the middle of a sweater for my friend Valerie’s daughter – one of the cutest babies evah! I’m making another ChildHood sweater – this time with no hood and no stripes… I’m making a solid red one. So far, I have the back, left and right fronts, and collar knit and pieced together. That means all I have left are the sleeves.

I hope to finish it in a few days and then get it sent off to Champaign!
I’m in the middle of planning my trip to Arizona, which is at the beginning of October. My sister will be joining me for a few days for some sisterly fun! I have lots to figure out! All I have is a plane ticket. No place to stay – no transportation once I get out there… Sheldon is coming along. I’ll be up to state #42. Seeing as I will be in the Southwest for 2 weeks, I just might have to venture over to New Mexico to get me up to state #43 – we’ll see how much driving I want to do.
